#20252 - RE: Search for a pure 8052 cpu 24MHz QFP44
thanks a lot, i will use the Atmel TS80C32X2 VQFP44

i cannot use the E5 because i need second source, we have been cought in this trap with the infineon C515A that was told us to be available for a long time and we received engineering samples a long time before the distributors knew that this one will be available as C515A-L24M. after placing this cpu into a couple of projects and PCBs it was suddenly obsolete :-( and no, absolutely no replacement possible. this is the reason why we do not want to use a cpu that has no second source.
so we deceided to use a naked 8032 @ 24MHz and move everyting else into a FPGA / PLD (easy for us as we do full custom ASIC designs)

Yes we think about using a verilog core and get rid of the cpu manufactures .... but these cores are not cheap and in most cases you have to pay if you go into production for each FPGA or project or .... so i am still searching for a free verilog source ... dalton project is vhdl .... and far away from being useable ...
