My experience with Winbond datasheets is that they are BRIEF. However, they seem to indicate "read only" when that is the case. If you need this feature I suggest you try it (get a sample) and if it works, check the pricing etc.

I would say - with no authority - that it is likely that it will work as the Dallas feature (why else include it).
