#20587 - RE: experiences with W77E58 ROMSIZE SFR ? |
Jack,
I don't completely understand your answer. I realise there is just one romsize available for the W77E58 but that's true for the Dallas part as well. Having just one romsize doesn't make support of the ROMSIZE feature useless. One could use it to get 32(flash)+64(external) = 96kb of program memory without needing external bank switching logic or requiring a P1 pin. Using the internal flash for ISP bootloaders or a monitor is quite nice as well provided one doesn't lose the 25K that's usually left after the bootloader or monitor because the ROMSIZE cannot be set. Anyway, if it isn't supported, it isn't supported and I'll stick to Dallas. BTW, what do you mean by UserChip and EmulationChip, can you explain this a bit? thanks, Anton |
