#20597 - AT89C52 RST line |
Hi,
I'm using some AT89C52 chips, and I've got the batronix programmer to program the Flash on them, according to the programmer it's all working well, and the program have been written to the flash, not it comes to hooking up the Chip to see if my program (which just switched p1.0 high and low) works. I've seen a number of schematics, most connect RST to a 10uf Cap to +5V, but I have comedocumentation which says connect the negative side of the 10uf Capacitor to RST, the positive lead to +5v and also put a 6K8 resistor between RST and Ground. I know RST has to be hight for the chip to operate, but why use this extra resistor? Chris. |
