I wonder if perhaps there should be a list of common 8051 problems that could be posted to help those begining to program for the 8051.

From recent post's It would seem that NOT jumping around the interrupt vectors is common. And it also seems that the purpose and result of the "ORG" directive is not alway well understood.

Not prefixing a Constant with a "#" is also an often made mistake.

I wonder what would happen if you sorted common code problems from this list.
