Ohm's laws apply, I realised that beforehand. Appearantly there is nothing more to it than this. Or is there? Surge suppression, other practical issues? Is it really as simple as just soldering a 250 Ohm resistor? The thing is, I have no practical experience with industrial equipment and I would rather not make mistakes that could have been avoided.
