(Inefficient) support for bit arrays could be created by the compiler calculating the offset and mask and then use shift followed by ORL/ANL.
I, personally, would not use it due to the inefficiency, but some "C" types do not give a hoot about efficeincy, they just want to use their holy grail and would thus appreciate such a (mis)construct. Have fun, but remember that if you are not concerned about efficiency, stick to programming Windows applications. Erik |
