Hi,

I don't think we need modulation frequency like 49 MHz right from the micro.

We can use an or any external oscilator and modulate the laser diode.

Then we can compare the phases of out going and incoming return beam.

Can we just do as done at

1/10th of an inch accuracy from 54 feet. Wov.

They have explained their research. They say

that return echoe will cause an oscillation directly proportional to the distance........
