I've managed to find the particular family of Philips 8052s you refered too. I believe these would not be suitable for my application, they're only really capable of generating text in basic colours. I think what I am asking for will probably require a lot of extra electronics. I really do need to use something like an Atmel 8052 varient because of their Flash-ROM, mainly because programming them is cheap, easy and quick.. properties that will be important in proto-typing the kind of software required for such a large application. |
