Yes, I'm nearly able to do the whole awful GPIB protocol on an old piece of wood.

Don't know what the future of GPIB will be. Maybe it will be replaced by TCPIP or another interface but nowadays it's still the standard for measuring devices. I only satisfy the customers wishes. (Customer is king...grrr) In the future my devices will also have a LAN connection.
