Both the Dallas 89C420 and Cygnal's 'F020 series have two UARTs and on-board Flash code memory. They are also very fast. Connect a serial EEPROM to them and you're ready! 2- or 3-wire serial EEPROMs are available from as little as 16 bytes, up to 32K bytes or so. For 512 bytes you might want to use a 24C04, available from STM, Xicor, Atmel, Fairchild and others for less than 1 Euro @100 pcs. Best regards, Rob Klein. |
