like you I'm searching for a source which can supply me with this chip. It seems to be sold only in the asian aerea. The other problem is to find a lens with a nice wideangle and this is not easy because the arrayarea is very small. Another way would be using an ordinary Chip which you can get in every corner with lens and houlder like
the OV5017 (Omni-vision)This type has Digital and Video output on chip and its perfect for developement. You can select windows in the viewing field or you take every 20th pixel from the stream to get small amout of pixels to calculate with.
