Yes Andy, thats exactly what i want. I'm full of non bright ideas like passing two variables to the function one for the type and one for the size, or making different functions for each type since i know that this var is of type char so i call the eeprom write car function etc. I'm trying to be smart and make the function know what argument is sent to it at run time.
I wonder if this is possible. I know software is only limited by your imagination and two brains think beter than 1.
