the thing I did was not code, it was done with the GAL, where I output the E equation and bufferd it again through the GAL, thus creating an approx 25ns delay..

Another idea: have you switched off the LED illumination? (you might have a power supply problem)

2) is it Homework your doing for the university ;-)
