Thats not a bad idea, Alfredo :-))
Its called lateral thinking, as made famous by Edward de Bono. I have a similar story to tell...This is not strictly related to 8051, but maybe it is important for all engineers who need to apply a lot of thought to solve problems... There was this huge building that went in for renovations, and when the clients moved back in the building admin received a large number of complaints that the elevators were working way too slowly. The architects and designers said the only solution was a faster elevator system, which was an impossibly expensive and unfeasible option. So they took this problem to Edward de Bono, who was even then renowned for his skill for solving problems in absolutely any field. de Bono studied the architecture and came up with a surprisingly effective and absolutely cheap solution: They installed mirrors on the panels and walls near all the elevator doors! The users ended up being so engrossed in their own reflections that no-one noticed the amount of time it took an elevator to arrive! :-D So maybe the optimum solution doesn't always lie in the formulae or solving equations or technical details, or in the most obvious places. Maybe it helps thinking in ALL directions before breaking your head over complex issues... ;-) kundi |
