Yes, it is necessary to keep the microcontroller cricuit ground and the power electronics ground as isolated as possible. Especially since you are using relays. USe free-wheeling diodes with relays and all such electromagnetic devices.
Ground noise is a pretty annoying problem to solve once you've built it into your board. Good power supply design and EMI/EMC are vital to the practical working of your project. kundi |
