what is greatz? how big the capacitor?

I use tc1232.
I have found that the TC1232 is the most noise sensitive of all the 1232s around, DS1232 far less. In one case the problem was cured by soldering a 100nF ceramic directly across the 1232.

I would Also suggest a small inductor in series with the diode followed by a large capacitor.
