#24394 - RE: solution? |
Hi all,
all the time I'm thinking what circuit or component to add, now I think I have solved the problem: remove component! Erik, like you said, TC1232 is really sensitive to noise. I have 200nanosek spikes and they fire TC1232 to reset the microcontroller. I use TC1232 as a watchdog timer and brown-out detector. I started a project with 89c52 and then it became too small (I have 9k of code) so I switched to 89c53. This gizmo has built-in watchdog timer, so I can use it's own, rather to 1232's. Plus I have adittional IO pin which I can use. Since I have battery backup, I think I can live without brownout detector. regards, Damjan |
