#24535 - more I/O lines with 89c2051 |
hello
okey i want to know what is the best approach of getting more input/output lines with 89c2051. 89c2051 has only two ports P1 & P3 and also 2 pins in P3 are used for serial communication with PC. one approach i am thinking about is that treat the P1 as I/O data lines and lets say 3 lines for P3 as address lines and use one of the pin of P3 as clock lines. In this way i have 9 possible addresses with 3 address lines. also each memory location will be selected with circuit arrangement which selected only one of the memeory location. so i want to know this is the good approach or is there any better approach out there.
