The exercise is to monitor repeater high sites ,and I actually using a 8031 with the necessary eprom and stuff but the Atmel 2051 is there to protect my software and design Because in South Africa people will steel any thing. The Battery is a 270A/h pack so I don't think this will cause a problem with voltage drop. Price is a matter
Steve is it possible to give me more info on the 1 pin timer and comparator concept , I know the Atmel has a comparator build in.
