#24712 - stuck-DS89C420 and serial ADC (max1112) |
It has occurred to me of late that I may just be too damn stupid to get this working.
Doh! I'm trying to a serial ADC and interface it with the microcontroller. I'm using T2 (p1.0) to drive the SCLK on the ADC, and have the serial port (p1.2 and 1.3) to connect to the DIN and DOUT pins on the ADC. I know I need to modify a register to generate a clock signal on T2 at around 250Khz, and that I must send a control byte of 10001111 to recieve a value conversion from channel 0. I have no idea how to write the code, or even modify the register. :-( I've been sitting here staring at pages 46-48 of the 89ds420_userguide.psf for about 2 hours now and I'm about to go insane. Can anyone offer hopes of survival for me? |
