For some time people have reported problems with logging on. Inevitably, these persons seem to be using Internet Explorer, usually versions 4 or 5. IE has a number of known problems with cookies which seems to be the problem.

8052.com was developed under and testing with Netscape 4.x. It still seems to work with the latest version of Netscape as well as Mozilla (which I currently use) and Opera (which I use sometimes).

I have not personally been able to reproduce the login problems even with IE, but everyone that has reported problems logging on has indicated they use IE--so I've concluded the problem has something to do with IE.

At some point I plan to investigate this further. However, my immediate suggestion would be to use either Netscape, Mozilla, or Opera. I've been quite impressed with Opera lately and may switch to that full-time. Aside from cookie problems, Microsoft products seem to have far more security problems than the other alternatives mentioned above. So switching to either Netscape, Mozilla, or Opera would have other benefits aside from being able to login to 8052.com more reliably.
