Yes, I do have my doubts about the emulator, so I've got an email off to their tech support. I've not had problems recently simply using the timers and such...TMOD and TCON are not strangers.

In this case I have been single stepping with the emulator, TR0 is set, and I can watch TH0/TL0 increment and roll over. And sometimes TF0 doesn't set (TR0 remains set; it only is reset briefly in the T0 ISR while I reset TH0/TL0).

Now I wonder, if I *wanted* to stop TF0 from setting, would it be possible to do???
