#25349 - RE: cport problem |
I made pc interface to talk to the 8052 serialy. I used cport library (on the PC side) to make serial functions available for C++ builder. Every thing is working fine on my pc using com2. when i tried to run it on a different PC using com1, found problems switching from com2 to com1 by software(closing the serial port by software doesnt seem to close it 100%). I had to first select port then made connect button for it to work on com1, if i need to make it work on com2 i have to quit the program, run it again , select comport2 then connect. In other words all free libraries are cheap kids toys. I said earlier its excellent cport library but i guess because it was very easy to use. Regards Mahmood |
