Erik was right, the Philips P89C51RD2 or Atmel T89C51RD2 are the easiest way to start. Only a MAX232 or MAX202 must be connected to download your programs direct into the micro. The free download software can you download from the Atmel web for the Atmel, or as Erik described for the Philips. A good freeware assembler was the metalink. But the free evaluation assembler / C / IDE from Keil can also be used. Peter |
