#25874 - RE: power supplies IJAZ |
Ijza here are the specification of one of the device i am trying to work with.
-Input voltage 10-16Vdc -Power Draw Standby @ 12V - 24mA -RFI immunity 20 Volts/Meter up to 1 GHz -Max Switching Voltage 20Vdc not the exceed 10W -Maximum Switching Current 0.5A not to exceed 10W. Tamper Switch N.C Contact Rating 12Vdc, 50mA max Reverse polarity protection: Diode Fire Protection ABS Alarm Output: N.C Contact Rating 10W max actually its infrared alarm device which generate a pulse when it detects a intruder in a zone it is monitoring. pretti daunting specification many terms. my question is simple can i use my PC's 12V power supply to operate this device. and ofcourse how to design its power supply circuit. ALso look at the last specification that is the alarm output. can i feed this directely to my 8051 microcontroller pin whihc is watching if this device generate a signal. this device generate a 1 sec pulse.
