#26028 - RE: ISP failure in Philips 89c51RD2 devices |
I have reprogrammed the BOOT vector by exident, now my device is always running from 0x0000, because the vector for isp was also programmed to this location.
After reading the manual many times i found out that you have to reprogram the boot vector if you change the status byte. My problem now is how to reprogram the device in parallel programming mode, which is the only way to get anotherm chance to reprogram the device in the future. At this stage you have 2 possible ways to reprogram the chip: 1. Parallel programmer 2. reprogram the vector by Software But my device is SMD and fixed on a circuit board :-( At the moment i try to reprogram the chip by using a second pcb with a circuit performing external ROM function and connecting via rubbers, used normal by LCD. I hope this will reprogram my status byte and boot vector. If anyone is interested in this solution he can mail me. best regards Andreas Candido |
