Stay away from the RC reset, it gives more headaches than you want. If your final application is to be ultra low cost, at least develop with a supervisor chip and go RC when the product is otherwise ready. This, at least, will save you from hunting starnge problems just to find out days later that they are related to the RC reset. RC resets can, under some circumstances, generate reset pulses shorter than the minimum and the uC react VERY strangely to that.
