#27010 - RE: OOAD for Embedded Design |
Hi kundi,
There are three main reasons why I don't use UML and CASE tools here. 1.) I can't afford them for the relatively limited percentage that software design makes to my business. 2.) My projects are too small to bother. My team is two people and I am one of them. More importantly I am the manager of the project :-) 3.) As an engineer, I find I have always thought in a form that makes things work as "objects", and find it hard to understand programmers who approach things from a data flow perspective. 4.) I remain to be convinced that just because you have a better documented design you neccessrily have a BETTER design. More maintainable, possibly, but BETTER ? Hey Gil ! Is this thread better ?
