i am interfacing a 7 segment display to an 89c52 mc
i want to display numbers from 00 to ff
i.e 00 ot 255. so i am using 3 7 segment display i.c [ no decoders ]
the segments a to g are shorted [ all the 3 7 segments ]
the common cathode of the 3 are taken to the microcontroller. the microcontroller selects the 7 segments 1 by one if i want to display 255 [example] then the first 7segment is used to display 2 after a delay of <100milliseconds i display 5 [ by selecting the 2nd 7 segment from the mc]
i continue in this way and the display is refreshed continuously
my doubt is
1. can the observer make out the difference i.e see the display as 255 or will he see it as 2 ----pause--
5 ----pause-- 5 ----pause--
