#27484 - Old Old Project Needs Reviving
On a real rainy day there was a requirement to build a windmill generation data collector. This was accomplished by using a 8748, EEprom with a relay to switch it on and off, battery case in an ammo box so it could be buried in the dirt, ZIF socket to remove the EEPROM so it could be read by a PROM programmer to get the data, anemometer connections for the above ground input.

This is just another rainy day and I don’t want to reinvent the wheel. Is there a peace of hardware out there that will satisfy the following requirements (very simple).

80c51 based code
Battery Backed RAM, EEPROM, Flash whatever 32k bytes
ROM, PROM EPROM, OTP ok, 4k bytes
RS232 serial interface half duplex ok
External Interrupt with opto isolation
Sleep, Power down, Idle capability
RTC/TOD clock, with interrupt time programmable

Thanks,
Joe
