I got crystal for 20Rs ($0.33) and ceramic resonators for 15Rs ($0.25) in karachi, Pakistan. And usually i donot use capacitors with them.
IJAZ AHMED, where can you get crystal at price 10Rs in pakistan. (dont tell me it is in lahore.)
The reasons i like to know RC or LC etc based oscillators because,
1, Not all the values of crystals are available in market. Like if i want 200Khz, i know it wont be available in market and if i found one it would be expensive and i can't get these odd values in bulk.
2, Use of RC or LC or RL will be still cheap if we talk for bulk quantity.
3, I want to use it in place where external reference is available for calibration and current consumption should be as less as possible.
