Yes, I know. There is more pages about i2c, than can be counted in a week. I have used "search". But I am (still) confused.

I use P89C66X, wich have on-chip i2c hardware interface. It looks compliated.

So my question is quite simpel:

Shall I use the hardware, and time to write the driver software (or is it avialable somewhere?), and if so, what do I gain for the effeort. Or shall I go for the software version, wich is widely avialable on net.
Any comment and/or suggestion apreciated.
