#29165 - Help needed for Atmel 89C51 programmer!! |
hi everybody,
i made a 89c51 flash programmer which was posted on the follwing link, http://chaokhun.kmitl.ac.th/~kswichit/Pgm89v3_WEB/Pgm89v3.html but then i'm having some problems. firstly the programmer voltage (Vpp) of 12V drops to around 4V during programming (i.e when the chip is inserted) and hence, as you would have guessed the chip doesnt get programmed. i contacted the designer and he wasnt much of a help. he basically told me to check my board and the components. everything is fine. the board is made by a reliable professional. and the components are all right. i tested them myself. i dont know what the problem is. but there is one thing. i get electric shocks when i try to put the chip in the socket. and i'm using a 15V, 0.5A transformer as the basic power source. all the remaining power circuitry is on board. the whole board and the transformer is mounted in a metal cabinet. any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks. regards, hrishikesh |
