Probably should isolate it from ground or make it out of plastic?
no, please don't, that WILL lead to static buildup. The way you have it (save rubbing on the housing of the switch) is good. Your failure, i guess, is a delayed reaction to the rubbing. You may even want to put a little bronze slider on the axle of the interruptor to ensure static goes to ground, not the switch (spark gap). Erik |
