use a pull-up resistor to drive the LED (Positive of LED to Port Pin via a Resistor).
I wonder if such a series resistor is known as Pull-up resistor. This is known as current limiting resistor. And if you must drive the LED directly from port pin, then gorund the LED through port pin rather than suplying Vcc to LED from micro. This way SETB xx will turn off, and CLR xx would turn it on. Generally, the current sinking capability of port pin is more than sourcing capability. IA |
