I don't know much about panasonic, but once i used an I2C camera (sure it was not panasonic) in an 8051 based security system. My boss provided me the data shhet of the camera chip, and there were lot of registers in the chip.

Try to find the data sheet of the chip, rather than data sheet for camer unit.

BTW: what is the main chip on camera?
