#30602 - Token Ring on Dallas 80C320 |
Does anybody know how to implement a token ring using a dallas 80C320 (8051 derivative).
The main problem I have come across is that the standards for token rings indicate a one bit delay between receiving a message and passing it on. But using the 80C320s uart the minimum delay is of one byte? Thus increasing the total rings delay time. Is there another way of implementing a token ring using this device, without the need for an external token handler such as a PIC? Thankyou in anticipation Dan |
