#30621 - RE: Token Ring on Dallas 80C320 |
My Basic problem is that I wil have a network of 80C320 Based devices, and due to the operating conditions of these devices they will have to communicate over fibre optics, the easiest physical way of doing this is a ring network. But if the delay of each device is too great the comms speed of the network would be too slow.
I have read about the IBM stuff, but cannot see how to implement this using an 80C320 as the bit delay is a problem. Are there any other standards for token rings that I could use? I am basically open to any suggestions on how to implement this. |
