Alternatively, you can configure it for 1200 baud and hit a sequence for 2400 times / sec. Even this video will do. :))
Also, dont hit the switch and see if a 0 is received. :)) ?

Anyway, enough of the jokes, But dear Mr. Pramod, it is beyond the human limits to simulate the serial communication with bare hands. So, as suggested use Hyperterminal (or any other terminal program) and connect a serial cable to P3.0 and P3.1. Make sure you use a null-modem cable. Refer to the tutorials for the same. HEY, and dont forget to use a 232 Level-Translator chip like HIN232 or MAX 232 in between ur pc and the 8051 chip.
