#30907 - Extracting Signal from Com Transparently
Hi!
I require a PC to 8051 comm interface and a transparent one input and one output from the same comm port of PC.
The baud rate can vary from 110bps to any maximum supported value.
For Example, one output from comm can turn ON power supply etc. And one input can sense the some status, Transparent from communication taken place in comm.
First, i thought that DTR, DSR, CTS etc should be used but PC start to wait for these signal to happen according to handshaking rules and whole thing becomes mess.
Second, i thought to use 2 seperate comms but many computer doesnot have 2 comms and i my self want to use only 1 comm.
Third, i wanted to use a 89c2051 between the PC and 8051, which seperate the 2 signal from Comm Data. But could not figure out any thing workable.
Can any one have a better idea or suggestion?
Thanks!
