Plexiglass/lucite/perspex is better - you do need the UV, and glass is opaque at the frequencies of interest. Note it is even possible to make your artwork films in a laser printer by printing onto transparency sheets. But you have to be willing to live with some pinholes in your PC board etches if you use the laser printer scheme. Works very well. We have no problems with pin holing in our prototype boards - a 600 DPI printer gives good results down to 10 thou rules. Our exposure time is about 1 minute with a UV box. Steve |
