the manufacturer's shop manual for your
car's year should have full circuit diagrams
and subsystem descriptions that may be helpful. third party manuals like Chilton's probably only have a generic subset.
the local library here has shop manuals for most recent model years. or you can buy from the manufacturer, or maybe a mechanic shop who has one would be interested in your project and would let you look at their copy.
