i think transistor can be appropriate to use in sensor application then any other mechanism... my sensors produce +5V in normal ocdition and Float when there is any activity detected for a while.. okey when there is some voltage on the base of the transistor then it becomes ON and when there is no voltage on the base it is OFF.


want to know which transistor is appropriate for such application. i want my the transistor to produce +5 in normal condition and 0V otherwise to the pins of 8051.

i will appriciate if some body gives me technical information specially the schematic
