The way i did it for a factory few days ago is I connected the proximity sensor to the diode input of an opto coupler through 1K resistor. I connected the output of the opto coupler transistor as I mentioned above.
This way you get the best of both worlds, by isolating the sensor signal you protect your precious microcontroller and immune it against gnd noise and current loops. Regards Mahmood |
