#32233 - RE: Circuit Schematic Software
Hi,

Apparently, there's a huge offer wrt layout programs. So, why not adding another one? I recently bought (via a Summer Sales action) EdWin XP-Pro. This is also very well known in layout-land and this is a program that not only draws layouts, but also links the schematic editor to the PCB part and vice versa. So, your schematics and your PCB are always in sync.
This is also the case with some of the packages mentioned earlier in this thread, but maybe you should also visit http://www.visionics.a.se and see if this program might fit your needs.

I've paid US$99 for this Summer Sale action, which is not that cheap but if you look what you've got for it (Schematic Editor, Layout Editor, Library Editor, Fabrication Manager, Mixed Mode Simulator, EDSpice Simulator, Arizona Autorouter, Thermal Analyser, Electromagnetic Analyser, Signal Integrity, Field analyser, California Placer and PLD/FPGA/VHDL) it is really not that much money.

Again, it's you who have to think what you want to spend on it (free is not always that free as you think, which is normal since one wants to earn a little bit money form what (s)he has made...).

Rgds,

Geert
