#32474 - RE: Keil uVision2 and Nohau Emulator |
I, personally, think you are hunting for the wrong animal. IDEs are someones attempt to be universal. I have yet to se an IDE where the editor comes even close to CodeWright. Let the editor people do what they are good at, let the compiler people do what they are good at and let the ICE people do what they are good at. I have used Lauterbach tools which interface with the Visual C and they work better on their own than when connected to the IDE.
Get the best editor (I use CodeWright) Get the besst compiler (I use Keil) Get the best ICE (I use Ceibo, see below) Write some good .bat files and take off. Re Ceibo: It is not as "good" as Nohau, but it has the advantage of "just pop another chip in, no need to buy another pod" if you change processsor (I use 3 different types) and also it is 1/8 the price. Erik PS. If only the compiler people could drop their "pride" in their second rate editors and provide an interface to CodeWright we would have a real IDE that I would happily use. |
