I must say i am somewhat disappointed with the amount of sarcasm aimed at someone, who after all, is just trying to fill a product gap that can be so clearly demonstrated to exist.

I suspect a reasonable market study would demonstrate that quite a few people would be willing to purchase software as intellectual property that performed the stated task.

They laughed at Columbus, who is now recognized as a perceptive real estate entrepreneur.

I should think the described product, being 8051 compatible, would get a very good reception on this board!

I would recommend provisions for a watchdog and some fairly stiff pull-ups (on P0) be considered.

I think code density would be favored over speed of execution.

The IP, once realized as a PCB, should probably implement some type of conformal coating for protection.
