Hello All,

I am sure people have ased this question before... but here goes,

I am ready to delve into the world of embedded programming and have read the tutorials online. I have also checked out the FAQ, but I am unclear as to what I need to obtain to start the fun stuff... coding and designing.

I keep seeing terms like "evaluation boards" etc. WHat is it exactly? Is that some kind of a ckt that I need to interface to my PC to download the s/w? Is the 8051 included in the board? If I need additional h/w, does that need to be connected to the board?
