Hi there,

I would like to know if there is an 8051 simulator (commercial or free) that would allow me to simulate the microcontroller at the cycle level as opposed to instruction level. Such a simulator must accurately simulate the fetch-execute-decode and all other cycles that a processor makes.
On the other hand, is there any freeware Windows based simulators written in C/C++ or Visual Basic with source codes available for me to (try!) add cycle level simulation? Thank you.

PS: I'm doing research, that's why my needs are pretty strange!
